Commercial & Industrial HVAC
Mechanical HVAC
installation.
Chillers, air handling systems, HVAC piping, and ductwork — designed, fabricated, installed, and commissioned by one self-performing contractor.
Not a service company
Installation and construction, not truck rolls
WDR performs commercial and industrial mechanical HVAC installation — new construction, plant expansions, equipment replacements, and retrofits. We are a mechanical contractor, not a residential service company. Our work starts at the scale where a building needs a chiller, an air handling system, and hundreds of feet of insulated piping, and it runs through commissioning and turnover.
Because we own our fabrication shop and employ our own pipe welders and fitters, a single WDR contract can cover the ductwork, the piping, the equipment set, and the structural steel and housekeeping pads underneath it. Fewer subcontractors on a mechanical package means fewer seams for a schedule to fail at.
Chiller and equipment installation
Chiller installations are routine work for our piping and mechanical division. That includes rigging and setting the unit, fabricating and installing chilled water and condenser piping, pump and motor alignment, vibration isolation, and tying the new equipment into existing distribution — frequently inside an occupied or operating facility where downtime windows are measured in hours.
Ductwork fabricated in-house
Duct for our HVAC projects comes out of our own 5,000 square foot sheet metal shop. Rectangular and round duct, transitions, plenums, and specialty fittings are built to the drawings and delivered to the site, so field fit-up problems get solved by the same company that made the part.
Rooftop and mechanical room work
We install and replace rooftop units, air handlers, exhaust and makeup air systems, and the associated curbs, supports, and piping. Mechanical room work — pumps, headers, heat exchangers, valve stations, and insulation — is handled by the same crews, with the piping fabricated to fit the room rather than forced into it.
